Trong không khí trang trọng, các đại biểu tại buổi mít tinh đã dâng hương, hoa tưởng niệm các anh hùng, liệt sĩ và dành một phút mặc niệm để tưởng nhớ sâu sắc các anh hùng đã chiến đấu, hy sinh anh dũng cho sự nghiệp giải phóng dân tộc, độc lập tự do của Việt Nam và Lào.

Nó còn giúp nâng cao nhận thức, ý thức trách nhiệm của cán bộ, nhân viên Cơ quan đại diện Việt Nam tại Lào và cộng đồng người Việt Nam tại Lào trong kế thừa và phát huy truyền thống cách mạng. Nó cũng giúp tiếp tục vun đắp tình hữu nghị vĩ đại, đoàn kết đặc biệt, hợp tác toàn diện, gắn kết chiến lược giữa Việt Nam và Lào.
