Với lòng kính trọng và biết ơn sâu sắc, các đại biểu đã thầm lặng tưởng nhớ các anh hùng liệt sĩ đã anh dũng hy sinh vì độc lập dân tộc, đại đoàn kết dân tộc và hạnh phúc của nhân dân. Kể từ khi Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam lãnh đạo sự nghiệp cách mạng, các thế hệ con cháu ưu tú đã nêu cao niềm tin “không có gì quý hơn độc lập tự do”, phát huy tinh thần chiến đấu “sống chết vì Tổ quốc”, chiến đấu anh dũng vì sự nghiệp xây dựng và bảo vệ Tổ quốc.

79 năm qua, Đảng, Nhà nước và nhân dân Việt Nam luôn coi trọng việc quan tâm chăm sóc các thành viên có công với cách mạng và gia đình các liệt sĩ. Họ đã tích cực thực hành các đức tính truyền thống dân tộc “uống nước nhớ nguồn”, “đổi ơn báo đáp”. Bằng hàng loạt biện pháp thiết thực, họ đã tiếp tục nâng cao đời sống vật chất, tinh thần của người được ưu tiên, tập hợp sức mạnh tinh thần mạnh mẽ cho sự nghiệp xây dựng và bảo vệ Tổ quốc.
