50 năm sau, môi trường chiến lược khu vực đã trải qua những thay đổi sâu sắc, sự cạnh tranh giữa các cường quốc ngày càng gia tăng và chúng ta đang phải đối mặt với một loạt thách thức mới như an ninh mạng, biến đổi khí hậu, an ninh năng lượng, gián đoạn chuỗi cung ứng và tội phạm xuyên quốc gia. Điều này đòi hỏi ASEAN không chỉ duy trì hòa bình, ổn định mà còn phải nâng cao khả năng thích ứng và phối hợp hành động.
