Tại buổi lễ, ông Hồ Văn Mùi, Ủy viên Trung ương Đảng, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Lâm Đồng nhấn mạnh, việc hoàn thành và đưa vào sử dụng 2 công trình này không chỉ đánh dấu một tầm cao mới của xây dựng hạ tầng đô thị mà còn thể hiện sự ưu tiên cao của Đảng và đất nước trong việc đầu tư cơ sở văn hóa, đáp ứng nhu cầu văn hóa ngày càng cao của người dân. Đồng thời, sẽ trở thành không gian quan trọng để tổ chức các hoạt động chính trị, văn hóa, nghệ thuật, góp phần xây dựng thành phố hiện đại, văn minh, thúc đẩy phát triển kinh tế, xã hội địa phương.

Việc đưa vào vận hành các dự án này được kỳ vọng sẽ bổ sung thêm các điểm nhấn kiến trúc, không gian văn hóa, địa điểm sinh hoạt cộng đồng cho khu vực phía Tây tỉnh Lâm Đồng, đồng thời hoàn thiện hệ thống đô thị, góp phần tạo dựng môi trường sống hiện đại, văn minh, phục vụ hiệu quả nhiệm vụ phát triển kinh tế, xã hội và nâng cao chất lượng cuộc sống của người dân.

Chiayi Central Plaza được đánh giá là một trong những trung tâm thương mại lớn nhất khu vực ven biển Thái Nguyên-Nam Trung Bộ và nằm trong top 10 trung tâm thương mại hàng đầu cả nước. Đây cũng là một trong 4 quảng trường duy nhất trong cả nước có không gian cảnh quan ven hồ. Đây cũng là một trong 5 quảng trường cả nước được tích hợp với trung tâm thương mại và làm nổi bật nét đặc trưng của kiến trúc, cảnh quan đô thị.

Tổng diện tích tổ hợp Quảng trường Trung tâm Gia Nghĩa, bảo tàng, thư viện và công viên vượt 24 ha, với tổng vốn đầu tư gần 525 tỷ đồng, sử dụng nguồn vốn ngân sách nhà nước. Trong số đó, Chiayi Central Plaza là một trong 4 trung tâm thương mại duy nhất trên cả nước có không gian cảnh quan ven hồ. Model này tương đối hiếm ở Việt Nam.

Trong khuôn khổ lễ khánh thành, một tiết mục sân khấu được dàn dựng công phu được chia thành 3 phần gồm: “Cảm ơn”, vở nhạc kịch “C Mừng làng” và “Khát vọng và phát triển Lâm Đồng”, tái hiện sinh động giá trị văn hóa đặc sắc của vùng, đồng thời thể hiện tinh thần dám nghĩ dám làm của tỉnh Lâm Đồng trong giai đoạn phát triển mới.
