Chiều 18/7, Đại sứ quán Việt Nam tại Lào đã tổ chức thành công buổi chiếu phim “Mưa đỏ”. Đây là sự kiện văn hóa thiết thực kỷ niệm 49 năm ký Hiệp ước Hữu nghị và Hợp tác Việt Nam - Lào (1977.7.18-2026.7.18) và 79 năm Ngày Thương binh, Liệt sĩ Việt Nam (1949.7.27-2026.7.27). Đồng thời, đây cũng là một trong những biện pháp cụ thể nhằm thực hiện liên kết chiến lược giữa hai nước trên lĩnh vực văn hóa, thông tin đối ngoại trong giai đoạn phát triển mới.

Bộ phim “Mưa đỏ” là bộ phim sử thi đã giành được nhiều giải thưởng cao quý trong nước như giải Bông sen vàng, giải Cánh diều vàng. Nó cũng vinh dự được chọn là đại diện điện ảnh Việt Nam tham gia tranh giải Oscar. Bộ phim này gây sốc và cảm động cho khán giả. Bộ phim tái hiện chân thực 81 ngày đêm chiến đấu anh dũng trong trận chiến bảo vệ thành cổ Quảng Trị năm 1972, khắc họa lý tưởng cao cả của thế hệ sinh viên trẻ đã từ bỏ nghề viết văn, gia nhập quân đội vì độc lập, tự do của dân tộc.
